Why has my Average Buy Price reduced after receiving bonus shares?

Your Average Buy Price has reduced after receiving bonus shares because the total cost of your investment remains the same while the number of shares increases. The bonus shares are credited at a zero cost, which lowers the overall average price when calculated across your new, larger total of shares.
