The Nifty Next 50 index consists of the next 50 stocks by market capitalisation after the Nifty50 stocks. Each stock has a different weightage in the banking index, thus having a varied impact. This is a sectoral index which allows derivatives trading with futures and options contracts with monthly expiry. Several constituent stocks also allow futures and options trading. Stocks from Financial Services, Capital Goods, and Automobile and Auto Components companies make up a majority of the index. Vedanta Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, and InterGlobe Aviation Ltd hold the highest weightage in the index.
