When is DDPI mandatory?

DDPI authorizes your broker to debit securities from your demat account specifically for sell orders or margin pledges, streamlining trading without per-transaction approvals. Without it (or POA), you must manually submit e-DIS/TPIN each time, which suits infrequent traders but burdens active ones like you with NSE/Demat operations.
