How long does the dematerialisation process take?

The dematerialisation (demat) process usually takes 2 to 4 weeks (15-30 days) to convert physical shares into electronic form, but timelines can vary from 7 days to a month or more depending on your Depository Participant (DP), Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTA), and the accuracy of your submitted documents.
