What is REIT investment?

A Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), is a company that owns and operates income-generating real estate such as offices, malls, hotels, or commercial properties. REITs pool money from investors and invest it across a portfolio of real estate assets.

Investors buy units of a REIT, similar to investing in mutual funds. The income earned from rent and property operations is distributed to investors as dividends, allowing them to earn from real estate without directly owning or managing property.
