Why are market orders blocked for T2T stocks?

Market orders are blocked for T2T stocks due to low liquidity and wide bid-ask spreads, which can result in unfavourable execution prices. To protect investors from unexpected price impact, only limit orders are allowed in the T2T segment, giving better control over execution prices.
