The client-wise position limit is the maximum number of contracts you, as a single trader/client, can hold in a particular stock’s futures or options. This limit helps prevent excessive risk or market manipulation.
It is usually set as a percentage of the total open interest (OI) in that stock. It is applied to your long and short positions combined.
