Why does my P&L look wrong after the bonus issue?

On the ex-bonus date, the stock exchange adjusts the share price to reflect the bonus issue. For example, in a 1:1 bonus issue, the share price will be halved.

Also the bonus shares are credited within 2 working days hence your overall value seems to be less creating an illusion of Loss.
