When you are unable to sell shares due to a short delivery, it means the shares are not available in your Demat account at the time of sale or on the settlement date. As per Indian market regulations, shares sold must be delivered to the exchange by T+1 settlement, and if the shares are not credited by then, the sale cannot be completed.
