What does CNC (Cash and Carry) mean?

CNC (Cash and Carry) refers to a product type for delivery-based trading, where investors buy shares and intend to hold them in their demat account for an extended period, rather than trading intraday. When you place a CNC order, you take delivery of the actual shares, and they are transferred to your demat account on a T+1 basis (one working day after the trade).
