The latest rally adds to a sharp run in the stock. Welspun Corp has gained 232% so far in 2026, making it the top-performing stock on the Nifty 500 during the period, ahead of HFCL, which has risen 216%. The stock has also advanced 17% in one month, 90% in three months, 236% in six months and 199% over the past year.
Welspun Corp Bags ₹2,000 Crore Saudi Aramco Order
Welspun Corp said its Saudi-listed associate EPIC has signed a contract with Saudi Aramco for the manufacturing and supply of steel pipes. The contract is valued at more than 771 million Saudi riyals, equivalent to approximately ₹2,000 crore, including value added tax.
The contract has a duration of six months, with the financial impact expected from Q4 FY2026-27 through Q1 FY2027-28. EPIC is a leading manufacturer of Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes and operates fully integrated manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia.
According to the company, EPIC's manufacturing capabilities, execution track record, quality standards and customer-focused approach have helped establish it as a preferred supplier in the Saudi Arabian market. The company also remains aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives.
Why Welspun Corp Shares Surged After the Order
The stock's sharp move came after the announcement of the ₹2,000 crore Saudi Aramco contract, which strengthens visibility for EPIC's order execution and adds to Welspun Corp's overall business pipeline.
The development follows Welspun Corp's largest-ever order announced last month, worth $1.8 billion or nearly ₹17,200 crore, for pipe supplies from its US manufacturing facility. Following that order, the company's order book reached a record ₹42,100 crore, or $4.4 billion.
The company had also signed an MoU earlier this month with Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc. to explore establishing an integrated pipe manufacturing and advanced coating platform in Jordan. The proposed joint venture would cater to water, oil and gas, energy and infrastructure projects in Jordan and neighbouring markets.
Welspun Corp Q1 FY27 Financial Performance
Welspun Corp reported a 198.64% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1,046.49 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹349.2 crore in Q1 FY26. The sharp increase was supported by an exceptional gain of ₹548 crore from the sale of shares in an associate.
Consolidated revenue from operations increased 14.91% year-on-year to ₹4,081.12 crore from ₹3,551.5 crore. EBITDA rose 31.8% to a record ₹692 crore from ₹525 crore, while the operating margin expanded to 17% from 14.8% a year earlier and 11.7% in the March quarter.
Welspun Enterprises Also Hits 52-Week High
Welspun Enterprises shares also rose around 2% to ₹840.85 on Monday after its material subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers Ltd (WMEL), received two Letters of Award from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
The projects have an aggregate value of ₹351.24 crore, including GST and excluding provisional sum, and are funded by the World Bank. One Western Ahmedabad project is valued at ₹229.48 crore, while the Eastern Ahmedabad project is worth ₹121.76 crore.
The two orders increased WMEL's order book from approximately ₹2,135 crore in June 2026 to ₹2,432.66 crore, representing an addition of around ₹297.66 crore, excluding GST and provisional sum. The projects are classified as domestic contracts and are scheduled to be executed within 24 months from the commencement date.
