Coforge shares surged nearly 10% after the IT company reported strong Q1 FY27 results, driven by a sharp rise in profit, robust revenue growth and a healthy order book. Investor sentiment was further supported by margin expansion, AI-focused product launches and the announcement of an interim dividend.
Coforge share price surged nearly 10% on July 28, 2026, after the company reported a strong set of Q1 FY27 results, with net profit more than doubling on a year-on-year (YoY) basis and revenue growth remaining robust. The stock was trading at ₹1,672, up 10% for the day. Trading volume stood at 46.30 lakh shares, slightly above the 30-day average volume of 34.60 lakh shares.
The sharp rally came after investors reacted positively to the company’s strong financial performance, higher order visibility, margin expansion, AI-led growth strategy, and dividend announcement.
Why Did Coforge Share Price Surge After the Event?
The key trigger behind Coforge’s stock price jump was the company’s strong Q1 FY27 performance, where consolidated revenue increased 49% YoY to ₹5,528 crore. Net profit from continuing operations surged 110% YoY to ₹519 crore, supported by higher revenue growth and improved operational efficiency.
The company’s EBITDA increased 74% YoY to ₹1,123 crore, with EBITDA margin expanding to 20.3%. EBIT also more than doubled to ₹882 crore, resulting in an EBIT margin of 16%. The improvement in profitability reflected better operating leverage and effective cost management.
However, on a sequential basis, net profit declined 15.3% compared with Q4 FY26, mainly due to a higher tax provision. The company stated that the decline was not due to weakness in business performance.
Strong Order Book Improves Revenue Visibility
Coforge’s executable order book for the next 12 months stood at $2.23 billion at the end of Q1 FY27, rising 27% sequentially and 44% YoY. The company reported total contract value order intake of $691 million during the quarter.
During Q1 FY27, Coforge secured four large deals across North America, Europe, and Latin America. The strong order pipeline provides improved revenue visibility for the upcoming quarters and strengthens the company’s position in the mid-cap IT services segment.
AI-Led Growth Strategy and New Product Launches
Coforge highlighted that 86% of its revenues now come from AI-led engineering, data, and cloud services. The company continues to focus on expanding its AI capabilities and launched Coforge Nuuron, an AI Operating System designed to integrate enterprise knowledge, decision intelligence, AI agents, and execution systems into a unified autonomous platform.
The company also introduced NEXA for the insurance sector and Aeronova.AI for airlines. These launches indicate Coforge’s focus on developing industry-specific AI solutions across key business verticals.
Dividend Announcement and Record Date
Along with the quarterly results, Coforge’s board declared an interim dividend of ₹4 per share. The record date for determining shareholder eligibility for the dividend has been fixed as August 3, 2026
