Several companies are likely to remain in focus after announcing their June quarter earnings, while others attracted attention due to major order wins, expansion plans and corporate developments.

Among the key earnings announcements, NTPC reported a steady performance with standalone net profit rising 11.9% year-on-year to ₹5,342.4 crore, while revenue increased 3% to ₹43,831.9 crore. Tata Consumer Products also delivered a healthy quarter as consolidated profit jumped 27.8% to ₹427 crore, supported by an 11.9% rise in revenue. The company's India branded business recorded an underlying volume growth of 13%, while its international business expanded 16%, reflecting broad-based demand.

Banking Stocks in Spotlight After Quarterly Results

Banking and financial stocks are expected to witness heightened activity after mixed quarterly performances.

IDFC First Bank emerged as one of the strongest performers, with net profit soaring 132.4% to ₹1,075 crore on the back of 21.1% growth in net interest income. Lower provisions and improved asset quality further strengthened the earnings, while the bank also received ₹514.82 crore under the CGFMU Scheme.

Bank of India posted another strong quarter as profit rose 36.2%, net interest income increased 12.6%, provisions declined and both gross and net NPAs improved sequentially. AU Small Finance Bank and DCB Bank also reported healthy profit growth, although AU Small Finance Bank witnessed a marginal increase in asset quality stress.

On the other hand, Bank of Baroda reported a sharp 71.9% decline in profit after booking an exceptional loss of ₹5,680.2 crore related to a $600 million settlement in the NMC Group litigation. Despite the one-off hit, the bank's net interest income increased 9.5%, though gross and net NPAs rose marginally on a sequential basis. REC also reported a weaker quarter as both profit and net interest income declined.

Corporate Actions and Major Order Wins

Apart from earnings, several companies announced significant business developments.

Waaree Renewable Technologies secured two EPC contracts for solar power plants with a combined capacity of 800 MWac / 1,082 MWp, strengthening its renewable energy order book. NBCC (India) received fresh work orders worth ₹108.85 crore, while Landmark Cars obtained a Letter of Intent from JSW MG Motor India to establish a new MG Experia dealership in Ahmedabad.

Hirect bagged two maiden Indian Railways orders worth ₹60 crore each for propulsion systems used in Vande Metro and MEMU trainsets, marking an important milestone for the company. Meanwhile, Sarda Energy and Minerals announced a ₹300 crore capital expenditure through its subsidiary to install a waste heat recovery power plant and expand mineral wool manufacturing capacity.

Lodha Developers reported a stellar quarter with profit more than doubling and revenue rising over 43%, while SBI Cards and Payment Services posted nearly 20% growth in profit despite flat net interest income. Vedant Fashions delivered steady earnings and approved the re-appointment of Ravi Modi as Chairman and Managing Director for another five years.

Meanwhile, Jindal Steel reported lower profitability despite strong revenue growth and announced key leadership appointments, while Zen Technologies posted weaker earnings but unveiled its first high-altitude man-portable anti-drone system designed for mountain warfare. Authum Investment & Infrastructure also remains on investors' radar after the Income Tax Department concluded search operations at its corporate office and commercial premises.
