Bajaj Consumer Care Limited reported 66% YoY growth in consolidated net profit to ₹70.2 crore for Q2FY27, driven by higher sales, better operating margins and wider distribution. Almond Drops Hair Oil & Distribution Expansion Accelerating Growth
Bajaj Almond Drops Hair Oil continues to be the largest contributor to the revenue, accounting for about 80% of the total revenue.
The brand registered double-digit volume growth in the quarter due to demand for smaller packs and better distribution in urban and rural markets.
The company has expanded its direct distribution network, adding 1 lakh+ outlets under Project Aarohan launched in FY25.
The expansion has boosted sales through traditional retail outlets and improved product availability in smaller markets.
The company is also moving to other products beyond hair oil. With the purchase of Banjara, it further strengthened its position in skin care and personal care products.
Raw Material Costs on the Rise, Prices Likely to Follow
Bajaj Consumer Care has posted better earnings. However, inflation in light liquid paraffin and other packaging inputs still remains a concern.
The company is working on around 5% price increases in Q3FY27 through direct price hikes and pack size changes.
The measures are aimed at countering soaring manufacturing costs and safeguarding profitability.
Maintaining sales volumes after price changes will be key given the ongoing search by consumers for affordable products.
Bajaj Consumer Care Share Price Dips After Q2 Results
On October 15, 2026, the first trading session after the announcement of quarterly results, Bajaj Consumer Care stock fell 9.91%.
The stock closed at ₹468.50 on the NSE against ₹520.05 in the previous session despite higher revenue and profit.
The selling pressure carried on in the following sessions. On October 21, the stock dropped further by 4.84% to end at ₹425.40.
The fall came as investors fretted about raw material inflation, future margins and the sustainability of earnings growth. But there is not a single confirmed factor that explains the entire correction.
Outlook
Bajaj Consumer Care’s Q2FY27 performance reflects improving sales momentum, wider distribution and better profitability.
The ability to continue growing volumes and also increase prices will remain key. Earnings performance will be impacted by product portfolio growth and cost control in the coming quarters.
