Emerald Tyre Manufacturers Limited was incorporated on March 27, 2002, under the name and style of ‘Emrald Resilient Tyre Manufactures Private Limited’, a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956, pursuant to a Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Chennai at Tamil Nadu. Thereafter, the name of the company was changed from ‘Emrald Resilient Tyre Manufactures Private Limited’ to ‘Emerald Resilient Tyre Manufacturers Private Limited’ vide special resolution passed by the members at the Extra-ordinary General Meeting held on July 16, 2018.Subsequently, the company was converted into Public Limited Company and name of company was changed from ‘Emerald Resilient Tyre Manufacturers Private Limited’ to ‘Emerald Resilient Tyre Manufacturers Limited’ pursuant to a special resolution passed by its shareholders at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting held on November 25, 2023.
