HD Fire Protect made its stock-market debut on October 21, 2026, at ₹335 on the National Stock Exchange, a 23.62% premium to its IPO price of ₹271. The BSE opening price was ₹334.40, representing a 23.39% gain. Both figures explain why the HD Fire Protect listing was widely described as a roughly 24% premium debut.

The strong opening followed heavy demand during the subscription period. Still, the opening trade is only one point in the market session. Changes after listing depend on actual trading volumes, available shares, and how investors value the underlying business.

HD Fire Protect IPO: Issue Size and Demand

The HD Fire Protect IPO opened on October 13 and closed on October 15. It comprised an offer for sale of approximately 2.63 crore equity shares, aggregating about ₹712 crore at the upper price band of ₹271. The price range was ₹258–₹271, with a lot size of 55 shares. A retail application for one lot at the final issue price amounted to ₹14,905.

Because it was an offer for sale, the proceeds are payable to existing selling shareholders, not to the company for plant expansion or debt reduction. A stock-market listing changes how shares are traded, but it does not by itself inject new operating cash into HD Fire Protect.

Demand at the close of bidding was substantial: total subscriptions reached about 131.7 times shares offered. The institutional portion was subscribed 256.65 times, non-institutional investors 203.21 times, and the retail category 30.49 times. Such figures measure applications during the issue; they do not guarantee returns after trading begins.

Business and Financial Background

HD Fire Protect designs and supplies fire-protection systems used in industrial and commercial facilities. Its portfolio covers equipment such as sprinklers, valves, and other safety components. Fire protection serves oil and gas facilities, warehouses, manufacturing plants, infrastructure, and buildings where safety standards determine project specifications.

The company reported FY26 net sales of ₹489.28 crore, compared with ₹432.80 crore in FY25. Reported annual profit after tax was ₹116.79 crore, against ₹109.72 crore in the previous financial year. These historic numbers give context to the listing valuation, but they are not a forecast of FY27 earnings.

The business relies on manufacturing quality, approvals, distribution and fulfilment of orders. Changes in raw-material prices and export costs can affect realised margins even where order demand remains healthy.

HD Fire Protect Shares: What Happens After Listing?

A stronger order book could support future sales, while longer collection cycles, project delays or greater competition could constrain cash generation. Investors comparing the company with other industrial safety suppliers need to account for product mix and export exposure, not simply the percentage listing gain.

The first results published after listing, together with disclosed cash flows, order execution and shareholder changes, will offer a clearer picture. For now, the verified event is a sharply positive debut following an oversubscribed offer; future HD Fire Protect share price movements remain subject to market conditions.
