Where Will Behari Lal Engineering Use IPO Funds?

Of the fresh issue proceeds, around ₹63.04 crore is proposed to be spent on purchasing and installing new machinery and equipment, related civil work and rooftop solar systems at the company’s two manufacturing facilities in Punjab. Another ₹0.57 crore is earmarked for repayment or prepayment of borrowings, with the balance available for general corporate purposes.

Since ₹208.62 crore of the IPO was an OFS, those proceeds will go to the selling shareholders rather than the company.

Why Behari Lal Engineering Shares Surged on Listing

The sharp listing gain was primarily supported by the 108.44 times IPO subscription, strong institutional demand and improving profitability.

However, after a more than 60% listing premium, the company's market valuation is substantially higher than at the ₹285 IPO price. Future share price movement will therefore depend increasingly on earnings growth, capacity expansion, order execution and margins rather than the initial IPO demand alone.
