Titan Company Limited traces its origins to a joint venture agreement in 1984 between Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited and Tata Sons Limited to manufacture and sell watches and watch components, marking the start of a pioneering journey in Indian lifestyle brands.
Today, Titan operates across four primary categories—Watches & Wearables, Jewellery, Eyecare, and Others (which includes Accessories, Fragrances and Indian dress wear)—serving consumers through a strong multi-format retail network and omnichannel presence. Its Indian dress wear business, Taneira, specialises in sarees, dress materials, and ready-to-wear kurtas crafted from pure, natural fabrics. Internationally, Titan has an established footprint through subsidiaries in Hong Kong, the UAE, Qatar and the USA, alongside a growing retail presence; the Eyewear business expanded to 7 international stores during the year.
As at March 31, 2025, the Company had 10 subsidiaries. Key milestones in the latest year include adding 139 new stores to reach 1,235 outlets, unveiling India’s first Tourbillon watch (a limited edition of 4 pieces priced at Rs 26 lakh, sold out within a month), and entering the prestigious Geneva Watch Grand Prix with two Edge timepieces; Edge Ultraslim also won the German iF Design Award. The Company introduced category-first retail identities for SKINN and IRTH and plans to scale IRTH stores to 100 locations by Financial Year 2027-28.
