About Kinetic Engineering Limited

Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) is a pioneering name in India’s mobility and automotive component industry with a history spanning over five decades. Founded in 1970 by visionary industrialist H.K. Firodia, the Company gained prominence with the launch of the Kinetic Luna in 1972, a vehicle that revolutionised two-wheeler commuting across India. Over the years, KEL evolved from being a celebrated vehicle manufacturer into a major auto component producer, supplying transmissions, drivelines, chassis systems and other critical parts to leading domestic and international OEMs.

In 2022, KEL established Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., its dedicated EV subsidiary, to provide integrated solutions for electric mobility. The Company’s return to vehicle manufacturing was marked by the launch of the all-electric Kinetic DX scooter in July 2025, blending nostalgia with cutting-edge EV technology.

KEL operates a vertically integrated facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, spread over 50+ acres with more than 32 production sheds and 460 machines. The plant is equipped with gear cutting, forging, machining, plating, painting, and drivetrain assembly units and is certified under IATF 16949, ensuring global quality compliance.

Today, the Company delivers precision products such as transmission assemblies, sun shafts, planet gears, spline yokes, stub shafts, chassis bodies, and EV-specific axles. Its products cater to commercial vehicles, passenger cars, tractors, two-wheelers, and electric vehicles across India, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
