Originally known as Dalmia Iron & Steel, the company was renamed Electrosteel Castings Limited in 1965. In 1994, it became the first company in India to manufacture ductile iron pipes, thereby transforming water infrastructure solutions in the country. The company’s manufacturing activities are spread across five locations—Khardah, Haldia, Bansberia, Srikalahasthi and Elavur—ensuring wide domestic coverage. Its global presence extends to South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, USA, South America, and Africa, with operations supported by a network of subsidiaries and joint ventures. As of March 31, 2025, the company had 10 subsidiaries, 2 step-down subsidiaries, and 1 joint venture.
