About Dodla Dairy Limited

Dodla Dairy Limited, headquartered in Hyderabad, was incorporated in 1995 with a mission to deliver quality milk and dairy products. From its beginnings as a family-owned business in Andhra Pradesh, it has grown into a publicly listed, integrated dairy company with operations across 13 Indian states, as well as Uganda, Kenya, and Singapore.

The company’s business covers the entire dairy value chain—procurement, processing, and distribution. Its infrastructure includes 16 advanced processing plants, 190 chilling centres, and more than 7,800 village-level collection centres in India, serving as the first touchpoint for over 1.3 lakh farmers. Dodla’s wholly owned subsidiary, Orgafeed Private Limited, produces cattle feed and trades in agricultural commodities, strengthening its farmer-first model. Other subsidiaries include Dodla Holdings Pte Limited (Singapore), Country Delight Dairy Limited (Kenya), Lakeside Dairy Limited (Uganda), and Dodla Dairy Kenya Limited (Kenya).

From its first product—fresh milk—the company has evolved to offer a wide portfolio: pasteurised pouch milk, curd, paneer, ghee, mozzarella, flavoured milk, lassi, yoghurt, ice cream, and milk-based sweets. Over three decades, Dodla has expanded with intent, combining farmer empowerment with customer trust, while extending its successful model to East Africa.

Dodla Dairy Limited Business Segments

In FY 2025, value-added products (VAPs)—including curd, paneer, ghee, and flavoured milk—contributed 35% to total sales, a sharp rise from zero at incorporation. The remainder was generated from liquid milk and related products. Operations are reported from both India and East Africa.

Key strategic updates include:

  • New Greenfield Plant in Maharashtra: An investment of Rs 280 crore to establish a facility with 10 lakh litres per day capacity. This plant will diversify procurement, strengthen B2B operations, and reduce dependence on Southern India.

  • Shift to Cow Milk Procurement: Cow milk now constitutes 95% of procurement, improving predictability and reducing volatility.

  • Technology Integration: Deployment of AI-driven dashboards, automated quality checks, and digital procurement traceability.

  • Brand Expansion: Advertising spend increased from Rs 14 crore to Rs 34 crore, boosting visibility of paneer, lassi, and flavoured milk.

  • Africa Operations: Uganda serves as a cost-effective sourcing hub, while Kenya provides pricing power and market maturity. Both replicate Dodla’s India model of direct farmer engagement and decentralised chilling.

  • Sustainability Measures: Solar power now contributes 14% of energy needs; pilots with electric vehicles are underway; and extensive water recycling has been adopted.
