Tata Communications Share Price Rises 6%

The stock touched an intraday high of ₹1,866 before giving up some gains. Its RSI had a sharp rise from 41.89 to 61.25 in the positive momentum territory.

The rally came on the back of the company’s Q2FY27 financial results. Consolidated revenue increased 9.6% year-on-year to ₹6,688 crore, and EBITDA increased 21.2% to ₹1,422 crore.

Net profit was up 86.2% to ₹341 crore. Data revenue was up 12.2%, and digital platform revenue was up 18.6% YoY.

Tata Communications Stock Analysis – What Does the RSI Say?

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum oscillator which measures the speed and change of price movements on a scale of zero to 100.

Generally, an RSI reading above 50 suggests improving upward momentum, while an RSI reading below 50 indicates relatively weaker price performance.

The normal interpretation is:

  • Below 30: Possibly oversold conditions.
  • 30 – 50: Weak price momentum.
  • 50 – 70: Upward momentum accelerating.
  • Above 70: Possibly overbought conditions.

Tata Communications’ RSI is at 61.25, showing stronger recent buying momentum without crossing the conventional overbought threshold.

But a rising RSI does not guarantee further price gains. Trading volumes, support and resistance areas, plus the context of the overall market, still matter.

RITES and Cemindia Projects Also Show RSI Improvement

On October 15, RITES Ltd gained 6.73% and closed at ₹214.27. Its RSI shot up from 44.29 to 60.08, showing stronger momentum after the price gain during the session.

The technical scan also featured Cemindia Projects Ltd, with its RSI moving up from 39.71 to 51.98. The stock ended at ₹1,221.40.

The RSI of Cemindia Projects, unlike Tata Communications and RITES, was closer to 50, so the momentum was less dramatically changed.

What’s Next to Watch for Investors?

All three stocks have been improving in technical momentum, but whether the RSI can hold above 50 depends on what happens next.

Tata Communications will be watched closely in the coming trading sessions to see whether the earnings-led rally can sustain itself. RITES and Cemindia Projects will also require ongoing price strength to support their improved technical picture.
