Shares of Meesho Ltd jumped over 6% on October 6 after the company reported strong growth in its Content Commerce ecosystem. Net Merchandise Value, or NMV, generated through the channel rose 152% YoY, supported by rapid adoption of creator-led shopping across non-metro India.
The stock touched an intraday high of ₹240.50, while the company’s market capitalisation stood at around ₹1.11 lakh crore. The update highlights the growing role of short-form videos and creator recommendations in Meesho’s wider e-commerce model.
Content Commerce Becomes a Key Growth Channel
Meesho’s Content Commerce business connects shoppers with products through creator videos, recommendations and product-led content. The platform said NMV from this ecosystem increased 152% YoY, backed by more than 1.6 L active creators over the last 12 months.
The creator base is heavily skewed towards smaller cities and first-time content creators. Around 90% of active creators are nano creators with fewer than 10,000 followers, while 81% come from non-metro India.
Tier 3 & Tier 4 markets accounted for 66% of Content Commerce orders, showing that creator-led discovery is gaining traction beyond the large metros.
| Metric | Latest Update |
| Content Commerce NMV growth | +152% YoY |
| Active creators | 1.6 L+ |
| Nano creators | ~90% |
| Non-metro creators | 81% |
| Tier 3 & Tier 4 share of orders | 66% |
| Sellers using Content Commerce | 4 L+ |
Video-Led Shopping Gains Scale
Meesho’s Video Finds feature has also recorded significant user activity. The platform generated nearly 4,800 crore content views and around 9,000 crore minutes of watch time over the reported period.
Homemakers account for about 40% of active Content Commerce creators, while young graduates make up around 30%. About 25% of active creators are first-time creators. This indicates that the ecosystem is expanding through a broad base rather than relying only on large social-media influencers.
Women’s fashion remains a major category, while electronics, personal care and home products are also seeing growing engagement through content-led discovery.
Q1FY27 Financials Show Strong Marketplace Growth
The Content Commerce update follows a strong Q1FY27 performance.
Meesho’s revenue from operations increased 48% YoY to ₹3,713 crore, compared with ₹2,504 crore in Q1FY26. Overall marketplace NMV rose 34% YoY to ₹11,614 crore.
The company’s net loss narrowed to ₹1,328 crore from ₹2,894 crore a year earlier. As of June 30, 2026, Meesho had a cash balance of ₹6,521 crore.
It is important to distinguish the latest 152% number from company-wide growth. The figure applies specifically to Content Commerce NMV, not Meesho’s total marketplace NMV.
Shares Extend Strong 2026 Performance
Meesho shares rose as much as 6.19% to ₹240.50 following the update. As of October 6, the stock was up around 32% in 2026, about 14% over one month and nearly 59% over six months.
The stock’s 52-week high stands at around ₹254.40, while the 52-week low is ₹125.56.
Going forward, the key numbers to track will be overall marketplace NMV growth, revenue conversion from creator commerce, customer engagement, seller participation and the path towards lower losses.
The latest update shows that creator-led shopping is becoming a meaningful growth engine for Meesho, particularly in smaller Indian cities. The next earnings release will provide greater clarity on how this engagement translates into revenue and profitability.
