Whirlpool of India Limited established its operations in 1960 as a home-appliance leader which produces refrigerators alongside washing machines and air conditioners and microwave ovens and kitchen appliances and built-in and small appliances while providing product development and procurement services to Whirlpool Corporation USA and its group companies.  

 

The Company operates three manufacturing facilities which include Faridabad for refrigerators and semi-automatic washers and Pune for frost-free and direct-cool refrigerators and Puducherry for washing machines.  The company maintains an extensive distribution network throughout India through 33 branch offices that serve 28 states and 7 union territories while exporting to 14 countries from its single international office where exports represent 4% of total revenue.  The Company operates with one consolidated subsidiary according to fulfill its statutory group information requirements and AOC-1 disclosure obligations.  The company achieved two major developments through its expansion of front-load washing machine production in India during the second half of 2022 and its introduction of purposeful intuitive products for Indian consumers.  Whirlpool of India achieved significant market share growth in refrigerators and washers during FY 2024–25 while delivering 16% revenue expansion and a 62% year-over-year profit increase through its P4G (Productivity for Growth) program and execution excellence.
