Founded by Rajeev Samant, who set up Sula’s first vineyard in Nashik in 1996, the Company has grown into one of India’s most recognised alcobev brands and is almost synonymous with wine in the country.
Sula is India’s largest wine company, commanding 60%+ share in the domestic elite & premium category. Its portfolio spans 60+ labels across price points, supported by five state-of-the-art wineries and 2,800+ acres of contracted vineyards in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Sula pioneered Indian wine experiences—opening the country’s first Wine Tasting Room in 2005 and its first vineyard resort in 2010. Today, its wine tourism ecosystem (resorts, tasting rooms and restaurants in Nashik and near Bengaluru) welcomes 3.3+ lakh visitors annually.

Own Brands (Wine) and Wine Tourism are the two operating pillars.
In FY25, Sula reported its highest ever revenue from operations at Rs 619.4 crore. Of this, Own Brands contributed Rs 546.2 crore (up 2.2% YoY) and Wine Tourism contributed Rs 60.3 crore (up ~10% YoY). Own Brands comprised ~88% and Wine Tourism ~10% of revenue from operations.
Mix within Own Brands: the Elite & Premium portfolio reached Rs 420.9 crore, taking its share to 77.1% of Own Brands (FY24: 75.2%).
