Kaveri Seed Company Limited, incorporated on August 27, 1986, is engaged in research, production, processing, and marketing of high-quality hybrid seeds across field and vegetable crops, with equity listed on October 4, 2007 on NSE and BSE. The company’s portfolio spans maize, cotton, rice (paddy), pearl millet, mustard, wheat, sorghum, sunflower, and several vegetables, with operations in both B2C and B2B markets. As of March 31, 2025, it operates 8 plants in India and has offices across 21 Indian states and one international location, and reported exports constituting 1.95% of turnover. The company invests consistently in R&D, with Rs 73.16 crore spent in FY 2024-25 (capital Rs 12.76 crore; recurring Rs 60.41 crore), equating to 6.52% of turnover. Kaveri serves farmers, retailers, and distributors domestically and via exports. The board authorised the FY 2024-25 standalone financial statements on May 19, 2025.

Kaveri’s history includes conversion to a public limited company on November 7, 2006, and sustained seed processing capability developed in-house. The company follows Indian Minimum Seed Certification Standards and tests per ISTA standards. As of March 31, 2025, permanent employees numbered 1,466. Subsidiaries include Kaveri Microteck Private Limited (100%), Aditya Agritech Private Limited (70%), Genome Agritech Private Limited (51%), Genomix Agri Genetics Private Limited (100%), and Kaveri Seed Company Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. (100%).
