Just Dial Limited was incorporated on December 20, 1993, and is today positioned as India’s leading local search engine, connecting users with businesses across categories via its website, mobile site, Android and iOS apps, and a pan-India voice service (88888-88888)  . The company provides local search, search-related services, and software services to users in India, supported by an advanced, scalable technology platform and deep experience in the local market  . As at March 31, 2025, Justdial hosted 48.8 Million active listings, engaged an average of 190.4 Million unique visitors per quarter in FY 2024–25, and ran 6,13,290 active paid campaigns; total ratings and reviews reached 152.6 Million .

 

The company’s offerings extend beyond discovery to include JD App; JD Mart (a B2B marketplace); JD Omni (cloud-based solutions for SMEs); and JD Pay for secure digital payments. Users can also shop online, book travel, pay utility bills, track stocks and request quotes—all within the platform  . Its presence spans India: operating from branches in 11 cities, reaching 250+ cities and 11,000+ pin codes, with 47 sales offices in Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations. Headquarters are in Mumbai, with a technology centre in Bengaluru; the ground force includes 5,470 field sales and 4,633 tele-sales employees .

 

Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) acquired control effective September 1, 2021, making Just Dial a subsidiary; RRVL held 63.84 Per cent of the company’s paid-up equity as at March 31, 2025  . As on March 31, 2025, the company had no subsidiaries, following the striking off and dissolution of its wholly owned subsidiary, MYJD Private Limited, effective June 26, 2024 . The company reports a single operating segment: “Search and related services” .
