About the Company

 

GE Vernova T&D India Limited is the listed arm of GE Vernova’s Electrification segment in India, with a legacy in the country dating back to 1957. The company provides solutions that connect and evacuate power from generation sources to the grid, spanning equipment and systems up to 1,200 kV, including power transformers, circuit breakers, gas‑insulated switchgear (GIS), instrument transformers, substation automation, digital software, FACTS, HVDC, turnkey substations and lifecycle services. 

 

It operates five advanced manufacturing facilities in Vadodara, Pallavaram (Chennai), Padappai (Chennai), Hosur and Noida; ongoing investments include a new manufacturing line for HVDC LCC valves and VSC STATCOM valves at Pallavaram. The company exports to neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh, with recent order wins and deliveries across regions such as Algeria, Portugal, Spain and Dubai (UAE), and shipments of equipment and components to markets including France, USA, Australia, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, Sweden and Mexico. 

 

Key milestones include pioneering localisation of EHV 765 kV AC technology, localising GIS up to 765 kV, and introducing 800 kV HVDC technology in India, while expanding a comprehensive portfolio to support grid modernisation and renewable integration . The company has also demonstrated HVDC execution capacity with the 6,000 MW Champa–Kurukshetra link and is investing to expand its HVDC valve production line in India for both LCC and VSC technologies .
