About  E.I.D.- Parry (India) Limited

 

Founded in 1788 and part of the Murugappa Group, E.I.D.- Parry (India) Limited pioneered India’s first sugar plant at Nellikuppam in 1842, and today operates across sugar, bioenergy and foods under the trusted Parry brand . The Company runs six sugar plants and one independent distillery across Tamil Nadu (Nellikuppam, Pugalur, Sivaganga), Andhra Pradesh (Sankili) and Karnataka (Bagalkot, Haliyal, Ramdurg), with aggregate capacities of 40,800 TCD cane crushing, 140 MW co-generation and 582 KLPD in distilleries; it also operates micro‑algal (nutraceutical) facilities in Oonaiyur and Saveriyarpuram, Tamil Nadu. 

 

Its portfolio spans sugar (institutional and retail), ethanol, power from co-generation, branded consumer products (sweetener and non‑sweetener staples) and nutraceuticals (including spirulina) . As at March 31, 2025, the Group had 23 subsidiaries (consolidated) . Key milestones include the 50th Annual Report in FY 2024–25 and a strategic repositioning from a pure sugar player to a broader bio‑energy and foods company under the Parry brand  .
