Dhunseri Tea & Industries Limited is a Kolkata-headquartered plantation company engaged in the cultivation, harvesting and sale of loose and packaged tea, along with allied services across the plantation value chain. The Company owns eleven tea estates with integrated factories in Assam, reflecting its deep roots in India’s tea heartland and a strong manufacturing base located close to its gardens. As on March 31, 2025, Dhunseri had a plantation area of 6,861.12 hectares and employed approximately 12,412 people, underscoring its significant operational presence across the estates.

 

The Group also maintains an offshore footprint in Malawi, where it undertakes cultivation and processing activities. Change in promoter group holding: 

On December 9, 2024, a Share Purchase/Sale Agreement was executed between promoter group entities. Subsequently, on March 10, 2025, Naga Dhunseri Group Limited (NDGL) acquired 48,09,595 shares (45.77%), raising its total holding to 54.56%. Dhunseri Tea & Industries Limited thereby became a subsidiary of NDGL.
