About Avenue Supermarts Limited (DMart)

Avenue Supermarts Limited (DMart) is a national supermarket chain conceived by value investor Mr. Radhakishan Damani in 2000, built on the principles of simplicity, speed and nimbleness in execution. The Company launched its first store in 2002 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and has since grown steadily, operating 415 stores across 10 States, 1 Union Territory and the National Capital Region (NCR) by FY 2024-25. Its model remains focused on financial fundamentals and everyday low prices for consumers.

DMart offers a wide range of products with a focus on three baskets: Foods, Non-Foods (FMCG) and General Merchandise & Apparel. Its retail footprint is supported by a supply chain network of 75 distribution centres and 10 packing centres as of March 31, 2025. The Company follows a cluster-based expansion approach, deepening penetration in existing regions before entering new ones.

Geographically, DMart’s 415 stores are spread across Maharashtra (116), Gujarat (66), Telangana (45), Andhra Pradesh (41), Karnataka (40), Tamil Nadu (26), Madhya Pradesh (24), Rajasthan (22), Punjab (19), NCR (9), Chhattisgarh (6) and Daman (1). The Group had five subsidiaries during FY 2024-25. Key milestones include the first store in 2002, steady expansion to a pan-India footprint, and 50 new store additions in FY 2024-25.
