About Avanti Feeds Limited

Founded in 1993, Avanti Feeds Limited is a leading player in India’s aquaculture industry, with a strong legacy built on the vision of its founder, Sri Alluri Venkateswara Rao. The company began with shrimp feed manufacturing at Kovvur, Andhra Pradesh, and later diversified into shrimp processing, hatcheries, and renewable energy. Over three decades, Avanti has expanded its feed capacity to 7,75,000 metric tonnes per annum across five ISO- and BAP-certified plants, making it India’s largest shrimp feed producer.

Its subsidiary, Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt. Ltd. (AFFPL), incorporated in 2015, operates three processing plants with a total capacity of 36,000 MT per annum, serving export markets in the USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea, China, Canada, and the Middle East. The Hatchery Division, based in Visakhapatnam, produces 600 million post-larvae annually, ensuring disease-free and high-quality shrimp seed.

In recent years, Avanti has entered the fast-growing pet care market with its premium cat food brand Avant Furst, through Avanti Pet Care Pvt. Ltd., a 60% subsidiary. The company also holds interests in renewable energy through wind power units in Karnataka and has an associate stake in Patikari Power Pvt. Ltd. (16 MW hydel project in Himachal Pradesh). Today, Avanti positions itself not just as a shrimp feed leader but as a diversified nutrition and aquaculture solutions provider.
