Summary:

Titan Company reported 25% YoY growth in Q2FY27 business income to ₹20,533 crore, driven by 24% jewellery and 27% watch sales growth. Adjusted net profit rose 54% to ₹1,722 crore, while shares gained over 4% following results.

Titan Company Limited (NSE: TITAN | BSE: 500114) reported strong growth across its jewellery, watches and eyewear businesses in Q2FY27. The company's consolidated business income increased 25% YoY to ₹20,533 crore, supported by demand for diamond-studded jewellery and premium watches.

The results were announced on November 5, 2026, for the quarter ended September 30.

Titan Q2FY27 Financial Highlights

Titan reported consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹2,393 crore, more than double the ₹1,120 crore recorded in Q2FY26. However, the reported profit included a one-time accounting gain of ₹671 crore from the revaluation of a financial liability.

Excluding this gain, PAT increased 54% YoY to ₹1,722 crore.

The company's consolidated business income, calculated excluding bullion sales and certain accounting adjustments, rose 25% to ₹20,533 crore from ₹16,407 crore. Profit before tax increased 53% to ₹2,329 crore, with a margin of 11.3%.

Excluding the impact of changes in gold customs duty, profit before tax stood at ₹1,793 crore, up 18% YoY.

The figures indicate that underlying profitability improved, although one-time accounting benefits contributed to reported earnings.

Jewellery, Watches and Eyewear Performance

Jewellery remained Titan's largest business, generating ₹17,495 crore in revenue, excluding bullion and digital gold sales. This represented 24% YoY growth.

Demand for diamond-studded jewellery was particularly strong, with sales growing in the early thirties in percentage terms. This category generally offers better margins than plain gold jewellery.

The company's jewellery portfolio includes Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and CaratLane.

The watches business recorded 27% YoY growth to ₹1,881 crore. Premium analogue watches continued attracting customers, while the company expanded its retail network across multiple watch formats.

Eyewear revenue increased 28% YoY to ₹281 crore. The business benefited from an expanded product range, upgraded stores and demand for branded eyewear.

These results came despite elevated gold prices and a shift in the festive calendar, with some purchases moving into Q3FY27.

Why Titan Share Price Surged After Q2 Results

Titan shares climbed over 4% during early trading on November 6, 2026, touching an intraday high of ₹5,001.90 on the BSE.

The rise followed strong operating growth across the company's major businesses and improvement in underlying profitability.

Better sales of diamond-studded jewellery supported margins, while watches and eyewear contributed additional growth.

However, investors also had to account for the ₹671 crore non-operational gain that lifted reported profit. Such gains may not recur in subsequent quarters.

What Lies Ahead for Titan?

The December quarter is important because major festive and wedding purchases fall during this period.

Gold-price movements will remain a key factor. Higher gold prices can increase the value of jewellery sales but may discourage customers from purchasing heavier products.

Titan's expansion into international jewellery markets, premium watches and organised eyewear provides additional sources of revenue.

The sustainability of jewellery margins will depend on product mix, competitive pricing and customer demand.

Overall, Titan's Q2FY27 results showed broad-based business growth, with jewellery contributing the largest share. The next quarter will help establish whether stronger festive demand can maintain this momentum without relying on one-time accounting benefits.
