Total income increased 12% YoY to ₹4,974 crore, while net interest income (NII) jumped 21% to ₹2,766 crore. Net interest margin improved by 60 basis points to 7.3%. Asset quality also improved, with gross non-performing assets (GNPA) declining 30 basis points to 3.5%.

Net profit surged 70% YoY to ₹899 crore, while return on assets (RoA) improved by 80 basis points to 2.4%. The strong profitability, improved asset quality and better growth outlook supported the stock’s rally.

Data Patterns Share Price Gains 7% on Defence Sector Buying

Data Patterns (India) Ltd gained 7% on July 22 and was among the major gainers in the Nifty 500 index. Trading activity increased, with NSE volume rising to 16 lakh shares compared with the 30-day average volume of 10.7 lakh shares.

Data Patterns operates in the defence electronics sector and designs and manufactures electronic systems and subsystems for defence and aerospace applications.

Bandhan Bank Ltd was the biggest loser in the Nifty 500 index, with its share price declining 16.71% to ₹173.94. NSE volume crossed 10.35 crore shares amid heavy selling pressure.

The decline came despite the bank reporting a 35% YoY increase in Q1FY27 net profit to ₹501.7 crore. Investors reacted negatively to cautious management commentary, including lower FY27 exit RoA guidance and concerns over margin pressure due to higher deposit costs.

Gabriel India Share Price Drops 7.42%

Gabriel India Ltd declined 7.42% to ₹1,378 on July 22. The automotive component manufacturer, known for shock absorbers, suspension products and ride-control solutions, witnessed NSE volume of 19.03 lakh shares.
