On Tuesday, NCC announced that it had received two advance work orders from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The orders are for the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the middle-mile network of BharatNet, also known as Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL). These contracts are for the Uttarakhand Telecom Circle and the Madhya Pradesh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu Telecom Circles.
The contract for the Madhya Pradesh region is valued at ₹2,647.12 crores, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), with ₹1,543.35 crores allocated for capital expenditure and ₹1,103.77 crores for operating expenses. The Madhya Pradesh, DNH & DD region order is worth ₹8,157.44 crores (excluding GST), comprising ₹4,189.05 crores in capital expenditure and ₹3,968.39 crores in operating costs.
Positive market response to order flow
NCC has been actively securing new contracts, drawing increased market attention. Recently, the company won a ₹1,480.34 crores contract from Bihar Medical Services & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (BMSICL) for the redevelopment of Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital. Additionally, it secured a ₹2,129.60 crores project from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) for infrastructure development in Amaravati Capital City.
