Shares of Infosys Limited rose nearly 3% during the session on Friday, October 23, 2026, as investors awaited the company’s Q2FY27 earnings announcement and interim dividend declaration. The stock saw buying interest amid a broad-based recovery in IT stocks despite pressure on the benchmark indices.

Why Infosys Stock Rose Today

Infosys shares saw buying interest ahead of the earnings announcement for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The stock has risen approximately 16% in the last one month, indicating renewed interest in large-cap IT companies.

The recent recovery comes as several technology companies reported improved quarterly earnings, while greater attention is being paid to artificial intelligence-related services.

The broader IT sector also gained in early trade on Friday, with Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra joining the upward movement.

The broader market, however, remained weak. The Sensex was down around 443 points while the Nifty 50 lost 187 points during intraday trade, reflecting the relative strength of select IT stocks.

Infosys Q2 Results 2026: Date, Declaration and Key Details

Infosys will announce its Q2FY27 earnings on October 23, 2026. The company’s board is scheduled to meet over October 22–23 to review the financial results for the September quarter and half-year.

According to the company's official schedule, the earnings-related press conference will commence at 4:30 PM IST, followed by the conference call at 6:00 PM IST.

Revenue growth, operating margins, large deal wins and any changes to FY27 revenue guidance will be watched closely.

Infosys posted constant-currency revenue growth of 2.4% YoY and 1% QoQ in Q1FY27. It reported an operating margin of 21.1%, while large deal wins climbed to $3.6 billion, of which 61% was new business.

The company revised its FY27 constant-currency revenue growth guidance to 1.5%–3% and maintained its operating margin guidance at 20%–22%.

Infosys Dividend 2026: What Investors Need to Know

The Infosys board will also consider an interim dividend for FY27 along with the quarterly results. The proposal was mentioned in the company’s official exchange filing dated September 16, 2026.

The pre-results announcement did not confirm the dividend amount or record date.

For reference, Infosys had announced an interim dividend of ₹23 per share in October 2025. Later, the company recommended a final dividend of ₹25 per share for FY26, taking the total dividend for that financial year to ₹48 per share.

Any new dividend declaration will be subject to the board's approval.

What Is the Future for Infosys Shares?

The upcoming results will provide a clearer picture of client spending, deal execution and demand for AI-related technology services.

Recently, Infosys announced the expansion of its collaboration with Truist to support an AI-focused Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. The move strengthens its broader enterprise technology initiatives.

The stock price has recovered recently, but concerns remain over global technology spending, US economic conditions and project execution.

Investors tracking Infosys shares will closely watch the September-quarter earnings, dividend decision and FY27 guidance. The recent improvement in sentiment is likely to be sustained only if earnings growth continues and operating margins remain firm.
