Tata Motors was incorporated in 1945. The company designs, manufactures and sells various vehicles and also produces industrial engine equipment.

The Group presents three automotive sub-segments comprising Tata Commercial Vehicles, Tata Passenger Vehicles (including EV) and Jaguar Land Rover in addition to other operating divisions. JLR produced 72% of automotive revenue in FY25 (before intra-segment eliminations).

The Group operates across 100+ countries and has 24 manufacturing sites, 8 R&D sites and exceeds 9,300 touchpoints. The Indian manufacturing sites of Tata Motors are located at Pune, Jamshedpur, Pantnagar, Dharwad, Lucknow and Sanand .
