About Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited

Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited is an integrated textile manufacturer with a legacy dating back to 1934, originally part of an industrial conglomerate founded by the late Dr. K. K. Birla. The company produces a diverse range of yarns including synthetic, natural, mélange, and blended varieties, alongside home textile furnishings. It operates state-of-the-art mills in Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. As of FY 2024–25, Sutlej operated approximately 4.16 lakh spindles with a daily output of 274 tonnes. Its diversified portfolio includes dyed synthetic and blended yarns, cotton mélange, specialty fibres such as Modal, Tencel, Bamboo, Coolmax, and fancy yarns like Siro Spun, Core Spun, and Double Core, available in single-, double-, and multi-fold variants. The company also runs a home textiles facility at Daheli, Gujarat and the “Sutlej Green Fibre” initiative in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, for recycled polyester staple fibre. It is listed on BSE and NSE and is recognised as a Government “Four Star Export House”.

 

Geographically, Sutlej serves customers across India and internationally, with operations reported in 63 countries in FY 2024–25, and its yarn business present in 56 countries. Its registered office is in Bhawanimandi, Rajasthan, while manufacturing units are spread across Bhawanimandi, Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), and near Bhilad (Gujarat). The Group comprises two subsidiaries (including one step-down subsidiary) incorporated in the United States, reflecting its international extension since September 28, 2017.
