SJVN Limited is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise and a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, headquartered in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). The company develops, owns and operates power projects across hydro, solar and wind, with thermal and transmission projects under development. Its offerings also include power trading (Category-1 licence) and consultancy services covering engineering, construction management and related advisory for power plants. As of March 31, 2025, SJVN had five subsidiaries within the group structure.
SJVN’s operating footprint spans multiple Indian states—led by Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for hydropower—along with projects in Arunachal Pradesh and a growing renewable presence, and extends cross‑border to Nepal where major hydro projects are under construction and pre‑construction.
