GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited (GPUIL) is a public limited company incorporated in 2019. It operates across Energy, Roads, Smart Meter Infrastructure and Urban Infrastructure in India, anchored by large thermal assets at Kamalanga and Warora alongside projects in transportation and urban infrastructure domains. The Group’s activities include power generation (coal-based thermal, hydropower, solar and wind), development and operation of highways, Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) for highways and railways, development of Special Investment Region (SIR), and installation of smart meters. GPUIL’s footprint spans India and select international locations.

  • FCCB Conversion: On July 10, 2024, USD 275 million 7.5% FCCBs were converted into 11,12,41,666 equity shares; the holders waived outstanding accrued interest of Rs 1,175.75 crore, recorded as an exceptional gain in FY 2024–25 consolidated financials.
