Avalon Technologies Limited, founded in 1999 within the Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ-SEZ) in Chennai, is one of India’s leading fully integrated Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers. The company began its journey by exporting complex electronics assemblies and soon achieved ISO 9000 certification in 2002. Over the years, Avalon has steadily expanded its capabilities—introducing PCB assembly, cable and wiring harness divisions, plastics, magnetics, and advanced system integration.
A major milestone came in 2013, when Avalon was chosen as the Indian manufacturing partner for a Japanese manufacturer of advanced signalling solutions. By 2016, the company had enhanced its box-build capabilities, and in 2023 it listed its shares on NSE and BSE. The company today operates 15 manufacturing units spanning 575,000 sq. ft. in India and the US, with facilities in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Atlanta.
Avalon’s business covers PCB design and assembly, new product development, sheet metal fabrication, machining, plastics, magnetics, system integration, and logistics. It caters to multiple geographies including India, the US, Europe, and Japan, and serves diverse industries such as industrial, power, mobility (rail and aerospace), clean energy, communications, defence, automotive, and medical technologies.
Through wholly owned subsidiaries—Avalon Technology & Services Pvt. Ltd., Sienna ECAD Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India, and ABV Electronics Inc. in the US—the company delivers end-to-end, build-to-print and design-led solutions. Presently, Avalon positions itself as a trusted one-stop EMS partner for global clients seeking high-mix, complex, and mission-critical electronics manufacturing solutions.
The segmental and geographic split is as follows:
The company’s strongest vertical remains industrial, while mobility (rail and aerospace) is its fastest growing. Clean energy and communications verticals also showed notable traction during the year.
Avalon was incorporated in 1999 in Chennai’s MEPZ-SEZ and completed its first export within three months.
For FY2025, India contributed 43% and the US 57% of revenue.
