Molbio Diagnostics' IPO allotment is set to be finalised on August 13, 2026, a day after bidding closed on August 12. The issue closed as one of the most heavily oversubscribed mainboard IPOs of the current cycle, drawing over 26.85 lakh applications. If you applied, here's a simple walkthrough of how to check your allotment status, along with what to expect next.

How Can I Check the Molbio Diagnostics IPO Allotment Status on BSE, NSE, Registrar, & Trading Platforms?

There are a few official ways to find out whether you've been allotted shares. The registrar's site, along with the BSE and NSE websites, are the most reliable sources. Most trading apps also pull this same data and show it within their IPO section, so you can check there too if that's more convenient.

Check Molbio Diagnostics IPO Allotment Status on BSE & NSE Website

  2. Under "Issue Type," select "Equity."
  3. Choose "Molbio Diagnostics Limited" from the "Issue Name" dropdown.
  4. Enter your Application Number or PAN.
  5. Complete the verification and click "Search."

Steps to check on NSE website

  3. Select "Molbio Diagnostics Limited" from the issue name list.
  4. Enter your PAN and Application Number.
  5. Click "Submit" to view your result.

If either site shows "no records found" right after allotment is announced, don't worry, it usually just means the finalised file hasn't been uploaded to that particular portal yet. Try again after a short while.

Check Molbio Diagnostics IPO Allotment Status via Registrar

KFin Technologies Ltd. is the registrar for this issue, and their site is usually the fastest to reflect the finalised allotment.

  1. Go to https://ipostatus.kfintech.com/.
  2. Select "Molbio Diagnostics" (MOLBIO) from the IPO dropdown menu.
  3. Choose PAN, Application Number, or DP ID/Client ID as your verification method.
  4. Enter the relevant details and click "Submit" to view your allotment status.

A quick note: if you paid through UPI and your mandate got released, that on its own doesn't confirm whether you actually got shares. Always check your status directly on one of the three sources above to be sure.

Given the sheer scale of oversubscription here, allotment for retail, small HNI, and big HNI applicants will effectively be decided by a computerised lottery, since demand ran into multiples of the shares actually on offer in each of these categories. Getting an allotment, even for one lot, will largely come down to luck this time around. Not getting an allotment doesn't mean you can't own Molbio shares, you can consider buying the stock after listing, though the market price may differ from the IPO price and could move significantly.

About Molbio Diagnostics IPO

Molbio Diagnostics is a global point-of-care molecular diagnostics company known for its proprietary Truenat platform, a portable, battery-operated PCR-based system that delivers rapid, accurate test results for infectious and non-communicable diseases. As of March 31, 2026, its portfolio covered 30 diseases through 43 assays, including tests for tuberculosis, COVID-19, HIV, hepatitis B and C, and HPV. The company's TB test is among the rapid molecular diagnostic tests recommended by the World Health Organization for initial detection of TB and rifampicin resistance, and its Truenat technology holds patent protection in more than 100 countries.

The IPO was worth ₹939.70 crore, made up of a fresh issue of ₹200 crore and an offer for sale of up to 91,66,000 equity shares. The fresh issue proceeds were earmarked for capital expenditure toward setting up infrastructure for a research and development facility and Centre of Excellence, to be operated by wholly owned subsidiary Bigtec, among other purposes, while the OFS portion went to existing shareholders selling part of their stake.

The price band was set at ₹768 to ₹807 per share, with a lot size of 18 shares. At the upper end, retail investors needed ₹14,526 to apply for one lot, with a cap of 13 lots (₹1,88,838). The issue was open for bidding from August 10 to August 12, 2026, and closed with an extraordinary overall subscription of 70.26 to 70.27 times. QIB demand was the standout, subscribed 186.39 times, reflecting deep institutional conviction, while NII closed at 49.80x and retail at 12.98x. The company reported FY26 revenue of ₹1,455.17 crore, up from ₹1,027.94 crore in FY25, with profit rising to ₹164.14 crore from ₹138.58 crore the year before.

What Happens Once Molbio Diagnostics IPO Allotment is Out?

Basis of Allotment FinalisedAugust 13, 2026

Given how heavily oversubscribed this issue was, at over 70 times overall and QIB alone crossing 186 times, allotment chances are extremely slim for most retail, small HNI, and big HNI applicants, and missing out entirely will be common, even for those who applied for multiple lots. This is a natural outcome of SEBI's lottery-based allotment process for severely oversubscribed issues and isn't cause for concern. Heavy subscription by itself doesn't prove the stock is attractively valued, so it's worth judging the company on its own fundamentals once it lists rather than on the subscription numbers alone.

If you didn't get an allotment, the amount blocked in your account through ASBA or UPI will simply be released on August 14, there's no separate refund process to wait for since nothing was actually debited upfront. If you received a partial allotment, only the unused portion of the blocked amount gets released.

If you were allotted shares, they'll be credited to your demat account by August 14, three days ahead of listing. If you miss out on allotment altogether and still want in, you can consider buying the stock from the secondary market once it lists, but it's worth evaluating the company's growth, margins, and competitive position at that point, rather than making a decision based purely on listing-day price movements or the scale of oversubscription seen during bidding.
