About Tempsens Instruments IPO

Tempsens Instruments (India) Limited is the largest manufacturer of contact and non-contact temperature sensors in India by revenue, and one of the largest manufacturers of electrical heaters in the country, with a strong focus on indigenisation that has created high entry barriers for competitors. Headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, and incorporated in 1990, the company operates across three verticals: temperature sensing solutions (thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, infrared pyrometers), electrical heating solutions (industrial heaters and furnaces), and specialised cables (power, control, and instrumentation cables), largely on a make-to-order basis for demanding industries such as steel, petrochemicals, cement, power generation, and glass manufacturing. Revenue stood at ₹444.88 crore in FY26, with profit after tax of ₹71.07 crore, up from ₹62.56 crore in FY25, and a conservative debt-to-equity ratio of 0.15. About Tempsens IPO

What Happens Once Tempsens Instruments IPO Allotment is Out?

Once the basis of allotment is finalised, investors fall into one of two outcomes. If shares are allotted, they will be credited to your demat account by August 27, 2026, and the corresponding amount blocked via UPI mandate or ASBA will be debited from your bank account. If shares are not allotted, the blocked amount will be released back to your account on the same date.

Given the issue was subscribed over 184 times overall — with NIIs at 314.44 times and QIBs at 302.88 times — investors should keep in mind that applying for a lot does not guarantee allotment in such heavily oversubscribed categories; allocation depends on the number of valid applications and applicable allotment rules. With retail subscription at 60.69 times, based on the applications-based subscription figure, roughly 1 in 45 retail applicants may receive an allotment, with the final outcome decided by the registrar's computerised lottery. Not receiving an allotment doesn't rule out participation altogether — once Tempsens Instruments lists on the exchanges, investors can still buy shares through the regular secondary market. Once shares are credited, they can be tracked and traded from the listing date, August 28, 2026, when Tempsens Instruments shares debut on the BSE and NSE.
