Indian equity benchmarks started Monday’s session on a positive note. At 9:15 a.m. IST, the Nifty 50 was trading 0.25% higher at 24,802.6, while the Sensex rose 0.24% to 80,904.4.
Meanwhile, ACME Solar Holdings Limited, a prominent integrated renewable energy player, saw its share price hit a new 52-week high after the company placed a 2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System order through POSCO International Corporation.
ACME Solar Holdings Limited, a prominent integrated renewable energy player, today announced a significant order for 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This strategic purchase was placed with Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, a leading global energy system supplier, facilitated through POSCO International Corporation and China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd.
The ordered BESS units are slated for phased delivery over the next six to ten months. Upon arrival, they will be deployed across ACME Solar’s Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and standalone BESS projects, which are scheduled for commissioning within the next 12 to 18 months.
With this latest order, ACME Solar’s cumulative BESS procurement surpasses 5 GWh, following a previous order of 3.1 GWh BESS placed in July 2025. This strategic purchase will ensure timely availability of BESS system, playing a key role in de-risking project commissioning timelines & accelerating overall project delivery.
On Monday, September 8, ACME Holdings' share price jumped over 5% to trade at a 52-week high of ₹315 per share. As of 10:00 am the stock price was trading at ₹308.55 per share, up by 4.8%.
