Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy surged after emerging as the L1 bidder for a 225 MW solar project in Gujarat. In Q4FY25, the company posted a 113.84% year-on-year revenue growth and a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹55.01 crore, marking a turnaround in profitability.
The share price of Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy jumped over 2% on Thursday after the company emerged as the L1 bidder for a solar project. As of 2:07 PM IST, the stock was trading at ₹286, up by 1.36%. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the stock is down 37.09%, while over the last three months it has risen by 14.40%. Over a five-year period, the stock has gained 87%.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited, a prominent domestic renewable EPC solutions provider, announced today that it has emerged as the L1 bidder for a 225 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV project in Gujarat, India. The order, secured from a leading Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) developer, is for a turn-key EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) package.
Speaking on the order win, Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, shared, “We are thrilled to announce our first domestic order of FY26 from a very reputed PSU developer and continue to build on our strong position in the Gujarat market. Our domestic pipeline remains very robust, and we are confident of building on this order win”
In the March 2025 quarter, the company reported a significant year-on-year growth in its financial performance. Revenue from operations rose to ₹2,519.11 crore, marking a 113.84% increase compared to ₹1,178.01 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax (PAT) surged remarkably to ₹55.01 crore from ₹1.40 crore, marking a substantial increase of over 3,800%.
For the full financial year ended March 2025, the company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹6,301.86 crore, up 107.61% from ₹3,035.37 crore in FY24. The company also posted a turnaround in profitability, recording a PAT of ₹85.55 crore, compared to a loss of ₹210.79 crore in the previous fiscal.
