IndiGo Reports Record Profit (1)

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) reported a record Q4FY25 profit of ₹3,067.5 crore, with FY25 net profit at ₹7,258.4 crore. Strong growth in passengers, yield, and revenue supported performance. A ₹10 dividend per share is proposed, pending shareholder approval.

The share price of InterGlobe Aviation recovered from the day’s low on Thursday. On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the company posted its Q4FY25 and FY25 financial results. As of 11:33 AM IST, the stock was trading at ₹5,468, up by 0.12%.

On a YTD basis, the stock has returned 19.03%, while over the last 12 months it is up by 25.73%. Over a 5-year period, the stock has surged by over 481%.

InterGlobe Aviation Q4 Results

Driven by strong demand for air travel and the successful execution of its strategy, IndiGo reported a net profit of ₹7,258.4 crore for the financial year ended March 2025. Excluding the impact of foreign exchange losses, the net profit stood at ₹8,867.6 crore, reflecting a performance consistent with the previous year. For the quarter ended March 2025, IndiGo posted a net profit of ₹3,067.5 crore, marking its highest-ever profit for a fourth quarter.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, IndiGo recorded strong operational and financial performance compared to the same period last year. Capacity increased by 21% to 42.1 billion, while the number of passengers rose by 19.6% to 3.19 crore. Yield improved by 2.4% to ₹5.32 per kilometre, and the load factor increased by 1.1 percentage points to reach 87.4%.

In Q4FY25, revenue from operations surged by 24.3% to ₹22,151.9 crore. The airline posted a net profit of ₹3,067.5 crore, significantly higher than the ₹1,894.8 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

For the full financial year ended March 31, 2025, IndiGo continued to deliver robust growth. Capacity increased by 13.1% to 157.5 billion, and the number of passengers grew by 11.1% to 11.86 crore. The yield improved by 1.3% to ₹5.15, with an annual load factor of 86.0%.

In FY25, revenue from operations rose by 17.3% to ₹80,802.9 crore. Excluding foreign exchange losses, net profit stood at ₹8,867.6 crore, slightly lower than the previous year’s ₹8,889.7 crore. The reported net profit for FY25 was ₹7,258.4 crore, compared to ₹8,172.5 crore in FY24. 

Dividend Announcement 

As a reflection of our strong performance and confidence in the future, the company announced a dividend of ₹10 per share, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM.
