Indian Hume Pipe reported FY25 net profit of ₹558.05 crore, driven by a ₹545.22 crore land sale gain. For the full year, total income rose 7.36% YoY. The order book expanded to ₹4,002.48 crore, and a ₹5.80 dividend per share was proposed.

The share price of Indian Hume Pipe jumped by 1.20% as the company announced its Q4FY25 results. As of 02:27 PM IST, the stock price was trading at ₹412 per share. On a YTD basis, the stock has gained 12.57% while in the last 12 months it is up by 56.64%. The quarterly result for March 2025 and the financial year 2025 is as follows:

Indian Hume Pipe Company Q4 Results

In Q4FY25, Indian Hume Pipe Company reported total income of ₹395.23 crore, slightly down from ₹407.29 crore in Q4FY24, showing a YoY decline of 2.96%. EBITDA dropped by 23.34% to ₹59.10 crore from ₹77.07 crore. Net profit for the quarter surged to ₹499.26 crore from ₹43.67 crore in the previous year, due to an exceptional gain of ₹545.22 crore from the sale of company-owned land in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

For the full year FY25, total income rose 7.36% to ₹1,500.17 crore from ₹1,397.25 crore in FY24. EBITDA increased by 7.63% to ₹195.12 crore. Profit before exceptional items grew 14.10% year-on-year to ₹118.07 crore. Net profit saw a sharp rise to ₹558.05 crore from ₹77.63 crore, representing a 618.88% increase due to the land sale gain.

Land Sale Details (exceptional item): During the quarter, the Company sold freehold land in Yelahanka, Bengaluru (40,875.668 sq. m) to Godrej SSPDL Green Acres LLP for ₹559 crore, recording a net exceptional gain of ₹545.22 crore.

The part of the sales proceeds of ₹376 crores has been kept with the State Bank of India as a fixed deposit, as collateral security, and to be used for future capital expenditure. Approximately ₹92 crore is parked in Money Market Mutual Funds to reduce working capital borrowings and pay a special dividend of ₹4 per share (₹21.07 crore), pending shareholder approval.

Order Book Position & Details 

During the year, the company received fresh orders worth ₹1,325.37 crore. A significant portion (around 48%) of these orders involved in-house manufacturing of PSC, BWSC, and PCCP pipes. This shift towards internally produced components is expected to improve operating margins and reduce the need for working capital borrowings.

In terms of project execution, Indian Hume Pipe Company successfully completed 12 projects across multiple states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh, with a total contract value of ₹2,437.74 crore. 

The unexecuted order book value as on 8th May 2025 stood at ₹4,002.48 crore, reflecting an 8.23% increase compared to ₹3,698.17 crore on 12th May 2024. Additionally, the company is the lowest bidder (L1) in four new projects totalling ₹769.43 crore.

Dividend Announcement 

Indian Hume Pipe Company’s Board of Directors has proposed a total dividend of ₹5.80 per share (on a face value of ₹2), which includes a regular dividend of ₹1.80 and a special dividend of ₹4.00 on account of the land sale. This is the record dividend declared by the company post 2010. The dividend is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
