Sapiens strengthens its global P&C platform by acquiring Coforge AdvantageGo, enhancing underwriting capabilities for London and global specialty markets.
Sapiens International Corporation N.V. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Coforge AdvantageGo Limited, a prominent commercial insurance software provider. AdvantageGo specialises in underwriting workbench solutions designed for the London and global commercial insurance markets.
This move marks a major milestone in Sapiens' global growth journey. By adding AdvantageGo's advanced capabilities, Sapiens will be able to offer even stronger support to the Property and Casualty (P&C) sector. Managing, assessing, and writing risk more efficiently is one of the biggest challenges insurers face today, and this acquisition aims to tackle that head-on.
Expanding into London's specialty market
This acquisition is not just about expanding the product offering. It strengthens Sapiens' presence in the London specialty market, a key global centre for complex and high-risk insurance and reinsurance. With AdvantageGo's proven expertise, Sapiens will provide an even stronger proposition for brokers and underwriters working across Lloyd's of London and the London company market.
AdvantageGo's underwriting workbench will become part of the Sapiens Insurance Platform for P&C and will also be offered as a standalone solution. This is expected to create significant value for Sapiens' existing customers across EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific), helping them streamline underwriting processes and improve decision-making.
Growing strength in North America and beyond
AdvantageGo's innovative solutions will also play a key role in expanding Sapiens' presence in the North American P&C market. By offering better support for insurers managing complex specialty and commercial lines, Sapiens is helping to bridge a critical technology gap in the industry.
Industry experts are recognising the importance of this development. They note that integrating underwriting workbench capabilities into core platforms can deliver immediate value for insurers, particularly in the specialty and commercial sectors.
Financial details at a glance
The transaction, valued at £43 million (approximately ₹447 crores), will be completed as an all-cash deal. Once finalised in the coming weeks, AdvantageGo will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sapiens.
For the full year of 2024, AdvantageGo recorded revenues of approximately ₹156 crores. Although a strategic investment phase led to a loss of around ₹93 crores in 2024, the business is expected to achieve double-digit growth by 2026. The acquisition is forecasted to contribute positively to Sapiens' profits from 2027 onwards, driven by integration synergies and revenue growth.
A vision for long-term growth and innovation
Roni Al-Dor, President and CEO of Sapiens, shared his enthusiasm about the acquisition. He emphasised that this move fits perfectly with Sapiens' long-term strategy to drive growth through smart acquisitions, broaden its solutions portfolio, and strengthen its global talent pool.
Ian Summers, Global Business Leader at AdvantageGo, also expressed his excitement. He noted that joining Sapiens will enhance AdvantageGo's capabilities and create new opportunities for clients and teams across Europe and North America.
Together, Sapiens and AdvantageGo are setting out to deliver greater innovation, expertise, and long-term value to insurers worldwide.
