Transrail Hits 5-Month High

Transrail Lighting shares rose 8.8% after securing ₹534 crore in new orders, pushing FY26 intake above ₹1,600 crore. The company reported strong YoY growth in revenue and profit, driven by its core Transmission & Distribution business and global operations.

On Tuesday, the share price of  Transrail Lighting Limited surged by 8.8% to an intraday high of ₹694.90 as the company secured a new work order. As of 11:39 am, the stock was trading at ₹685.50, up by 7.33%. 

Over the past year, the company has delivered a return of 16.44% while on a year-to-date basis the stock is up 26.75%. The Company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹9,203 crore. 

Order Details and Order Book of Transrail Lighting 

Transrail Lighting Limited, a prominent EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) player specialising in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) segment, has announced securing new orders worth ₹534 crore. These new orders encompass both domestic and international projects. With this latest intake, the company's total order intake for the fiscal year 2026 (FY26) has already surpassed ₹1,600 crore thus far, primarily driven by its core T&D business.

Mr. Randeep Narang, MD & CEO, said, “We are pleased to begin the new financial year with a steady build-up in order inflows, led by wins in our core Transmission & Distribution segment. These new orders also include our biggest substation job, which we are going to execute in Africa. With FY26 order intake already crossing ₹1,600 crore, we remain focused on efficient execution and timely delivery.”

Q4FY25 Earnings of Transrail Lighting 

For the quarter ending March 2025, the company reported a revenue from operations of ₹1,946.02 crore, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 39.76% compared to ₹1,392.41 crore in March 2024. Profit after tax for the same quarter stood at ₹126.57 crore, marking a growth of 26.93% over the previous year's ₹99.72 crore. 

On an annual basis, the company posted a revenue from operations of ₹5,307.75 crore for the financial year ending March 2025, up 30.20% from ₹4,076.52 crore in FY24. The profit after tax for the year rose by 40.06%, reaching ₹326.63 crore compared to ₹233.20 crore in the previous financial year.
