Railtel Corporation of India Ltd has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for an estimated order size of ₹115.20 crore, inclusive of taxes. The orders under this LoI are scheduled to be executed by September 10, 2034, highlighting a long-term growth trajectory for the company.
Further, RailTel entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GAIL on March 5, 2026. The MoU is aimed at establishing a digital infrastructure backbone, while definitive terms are yet to be finalised.
In addition to the above business developments, on March 9, 2026, the Board of Directors of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd announced a 2nd interim dividend for the financial year 2025-26. Declared at 10% (₹1 per equity share), the dividend will be disbursed to shareholders listed as on the Record Date, Friday, March 13, 2026.
Earlier in the financial year, RailTel had declared its 1st interim dividend for FY 2025-26. On October 29, 2025, the Board of Directors approved an interim dividend at the rate of 10% of the paid-up share capital (₹1 per equity share). The Record Date for this dividend was fixed as November 04, 2025, and the payment or dispatch of dividend warrants took place on November 25, 2025.
The company achieved an operating revenue of ₹913 crore in the third quarter of FY 2025-26, compared with ₹768 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, registering a year-on-year growth of 19%. The Telecom segment contributed ₹349 crore, while the Project segment accounted for ₹564 crore of the company’s total operating turnover.
The profit before tax (PBT) for Q3 FY 2025-26 stood at ₹62 crore, slightly lower than the ₹65 crore reported in Q3 FY 2024-25. This decline was primarily due to the execution of a slightly higher number of low-margin projects during the quarter. For comparison, PBT in the previous quarter, Q2 FY 2025-26, had been ₹76 crore.
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd share price witnessed a decline in early trading on 13th March 2026, trading at ₹277.85, down ₹8.25 or 2.88% from the previous close of ₹287.10. The share opened at ₹285.00 and touched an intraday high of ₹285.80 and a low of ₹278.00 on the same day.
Looking at broader performance, the stock has declined by 25% year-to-date (YTD), while the 1-year return stands at -1.78%.
